CheckMyCar is a vehicle inspection service designed to help used car buyers make safer and more informed purchasing decisions. The project focused on redesigning the digital experience to better communicate the value of the inspection service and simplify the booking journey. The goal was to create a clear, trustworthy, and user-friendly interface that helps users quickly understand the service, explore inspection details, and schedule an inspection with minimal friction. Through improved information architecture, refined visual design, and a streamlined booking flow, the redesign enhances usability while strengthening the brand’s credibility and professionalism.

The interface should reflect a professional and trustworthy automotive service, helping users feel confident before booking an inspection. Visual elements such as icons, illustrations, and UI components should maintain a consistent style across the website. The design should remain clean, structured, and easy to navigate, ensuring users can quickly understand the service and take action.
2. Color Scheme
The design should use the brand’s core colors to maintain strong visual identity while keeping the interface modern and minimal. Primary colors should highlight important actions such as booking inspections and viewing reports. Supporting colors should be used carefully to create clear visual hierarchy without overwhelming the user interface

Raleway should be used for headings and key messaging to maintain strong visual impact and readability. Manrope should be used for body text and supporting content to ensure clarity across longer sections. Typography should follow a clear hierarchy to guide users through information smoothly and improve content scannability.
Design Process
1. Understanding the Requirements
The process began with understanding the client’s business goals and the core purpose of the platform. We analyzed the existing website to identify usability gaps and opportunities for improvement. This helped define the key objectives of the redesign: improving trust, simplifying the booking flow, and clearly communicating the inspection service.
2. Look and Feel
The design direction focused on creating a professional, trustworthy, and modern automotive service experience. UI components, icons, and layout structures were designed to maintain visual consistency across the website. The goal was to create a clean interface that helps users easily understand the service and take action.
3. Colour Scheme
The brand color palette was used to establish a strong and recognizable visual identity. Primary colors were used strategically for key actions such as booking inspections and highlighting important information. Supporting colors were applied carefully to maintain a balanced and minimal interface.
4. Typography
Raleway was selected for headings and important messages to create strong visual hierarchy and impact. Manrope was used for body text to maintain readability across longer content sections. Clear typography hierarchy was established to guide users smoothly through the information.
5. Design Iterations
Multiple design explorations were created to refine layout structures, spacing, and visual hierarchy. Each iteration improved content clarity and emphasized important sections such as services, inspection coverage, and booking. Feedback and testing helped refine the interface to ensure usability and consistency.
6. Minimal and Clear Communication
The final design focused on presenting information in a simple and structured way. Content sections were organized to avoid overwhelming users while keeping important details easily accessible. This approach ensures users can quickly understand the service and confidently proceed with booking an inspection.
Deliverables
The project delivered a complete website redesign aimed at improving usability and simplifying the vehicle inspection booking experience. The work included developing a clear information architecture and site map, creating wireframes to refine the user journey, and designing high-fidelity user interfaces that align with the brand’s visual identity.
